    Congratulations eCards

Everyone likes to be congratulated or complimented -- it makes us feel good.

    • If you have a personal relationship with the recipient, open the eCard with "Dear" or "Congratulations". Otherwise, the eCard should be started with a standard "Mr." or "Ms."

    • Keep it short and make sure you emphasize how great the recipient's achievement is and what impact it may have on others.

    • Never mix the recipient's good news with your own personal news as it dilutes their achievement.

    • The closing of the eCard should have the same level of formality as the opening. For example, informal closings should be "best" or "warmest regards" and formal closings should be "best regards" or "sincerely."

    • Always check your spelling and grammar.

Always include what it is they have accomplished. This personalizes your note and shows them that you value and understand what it was they were trying to achieve. For example "Under your strong leadership we were able to....Here's to your continued success. Congratulations."

Most of us work very hard to achieve those accomplishments and we like to be recognized for it! Have you recognized someone today?
