Email Newsletters are the #1 email marketing tool because newsletters

  • remind people of your product or service
  • establish your company's credibility if you have meaningful, informational articles that can't be found anywhere else
  • may inspire recipients to buy from you if you have a coupon or other promotional incentive
  • enable you to survey your recipients

The key to an effective email newsletter campaign is great content. People should look forward to your next issue. Hopefully they will even want to forward your newsletter to others. What's the point of a newsletter if no one reads it! Your newsletters should contain NEWS and valuable content not just advertising. In some cases, newsletters work best if they are strictly informational or instructional and subtly remind people of your service or product.

For example, if you have a hobby shop that sells model airplanes, you might have a newsletter that lists flying events, model building contests, or tips on how to build the best model airplane. When the newsletter recipient goes to buy their next plane or needs to recommend a store to a friend, more than likely they will remember you or forward your newsletter to them.

Some of our members also use e-cards as newsletters to their employees to let them know about the latest products, company news, employee events, and more.
