Parents' DayThe History of Parents' DayParents' Day has been celebrated on the fourth Sunday in July since President Clinton's official proclamation in 1994. The holiday was started to honor parents across the nation for their hard work and dedication in raising and nurturing our nation’s future: our children. The holiday is meant to encourage all types of parents, including foster and adoptive parents, to serve as role models for their children and dedicate themselves to their families.Parents' Day seeks to separate itself from other parent-related holidays by focusing on the fundamentals of parenthood: showing unconditional true love, serving as role models, and providing guidance and direction. A healthy work/life balance is essential for any employee. Celebrate the day by letting your hard working employees have time off to be with their families.
