Everyone celebrates holidays, whether it be Christmas or Chanukah, St. Patrick's Day or the Fourth of July. However, the vast majority of companies only hold one formal celebration per year: an end-of-the-year holiday party. By bringing holiday events into the workplace, you not only will be creating a healthy, positive work atmosphere. You could increase your productivity and give back to the community as well.
Thinking outside of the box, or "lateral thinking", is a skill that is highly desired by companies. Coming up with unique, fun, and even profitable ways to bring holiday celebrations to the workplace is something that will set you apart from your competitors. Our Holiday Ecards Resources and Tips section provides several ways your company can celebrate the various holidays.
For example, Spring has recently arrived, and Earth Day and Arbor Day are fast approaching. One way your company can become involved is by offering employees half the day off to partake in a community service project to help the environment. You could also purchase small plants for your employees to take care of by their desks in celebration of Arbor Day. Sending ecards to employees and clients is a great way to spread the word. Ask your employees for suggestions. Your company can bring some fun into your employee's work day, as well as being a part of your community.
