Issue 17: E-cards are Not Just For 'The Holidays'
E-Cards
are a great way to
follow up the holiday season!
During the Winter Holidays people send correspondence to everyone they can think
of. Unfortunately, this is a once-a-year occurrence and
people fail to keep the relationship going. Send Thinking
of You, Birthday Greetings, Appreciation and Thank You's
to stay in touch with employees, customers, prospects and
friends all year 'round.
One of our CorpNote members sends out 'Happy Holidays' cards in May, with a short note explaining how he is getting an early start, to avoid the rush! He also added in his note to us that keeping current in his contacts' mind is what makes him a successful salesperson.
What to say...
Check out CorpNote’s message helper, which has a variety of pre-composed messages to help you express your well
wishes. Group member administrators can save company message templates
for all employees to share.
Happy Employees are Productive Employees
A well-appreciated employee will be more likely to work harder for a management team that recognizes their efforts. An inspired, happy employee will also present a positive company image.
If your employee comes up with a solution to a problem, does a job exceptionally or has a project idea that moves your company towards its goals, let them know you appreciate them by sending a 'Great Idea' or 'Employee Appreciation' E-card. If your employee has put in extra hours or completed a difficult project, send a 'Thank you/Appreciation' or 'Job Well Done' E-Card. The 60 seconds it takes to create and send your card is well spent!
An important component of employee recognition is sharing their accomplishments
with other team members. Sending an e-card 'newsletter' on a regular basis
is an easy way to highlight an individual's accomplishments to your entire
department or company.
E-cards as a Corporate Communications Tool
E-Cards for Meeting Reminders: Whether you are the buyer or the seller, e-cards are great for confirming meeting dates and times. You can also include a bulleted list of subjects that you would like to cover in the meeting to make the most of your time and manage expectations. In your e-card history, you will see who picks up your e-card so you will know everyone's been informed.
If you have several people attending, you can use the Invitation Manager to enable people to RSVP for meetings.
How do you use E-cards? Let us know and your tip might be in our next newsletter.
