The most important and the longest of the traditional Chinese holidays is Chinese New Year. It is also known as the Spring Festival. The holiday lasts for 15 days and ends with Lantern Festival.
Chinese new year regional customs and traditions vary widely but it is traditional for every family to thoroughly clean their house. In effect, they are sweeping away ill-fortune and making room for incoming good luck. Another tradition is to dismiss all grudges and wish peace and happiness for everyone.
