Comments: Today's pic is a cabin shot of a Fairchild C-123 "Provider" military transport, nicknamed Thunder Pig. The C-123 was originally designed as an "assault glider" for the US Air Force, and powered versions followed in the early 1950's. This aircraft was built in 1956 by Fairchild Aircraft Corp. in Hagerstown, MD. The photo was taken in 2004 at the Air Heritage Museum at the Beaver County Airport, in Beaver Falls, PA.
