Administrative Professionals' Day and Secretaries Day
Administrative Professionals' Day, also known as Secretaries Day, is a secular holiday created to recognize the work of secretaries and
administrative assistants. The holiday was originally Professional Secretaries Week and became Administrative Professionals Week in 2000 to encompass a wider range of job titles of administrative support staff.
It is traditional to give flowers, candy or other small presents on this day but in the last few years it has become popular to offer continuing education opportunities and seminars as a gift.
