Make Someone's Day by Saying Thank You
We must send thank you cards after receiving gifts because it's proper. We should send thank you cards to clients and customers to thank them for their business. But what about saying thank you just because we're truly thankful?
While sending winter holiday cards this season, consider all the things we have to be thankful for. If you have clients to thank for their business during this wacky economy - be thankful. If you even have a job this holiday season - be thankful. Remember the glass is always half full, not half empty. There is at least one really positive thing every day in our lives and for that we can be thankful.
Some people believe that whatever energy you put out into the world, be it positive or negative, it will be returned to you. Some psychologists think that a readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness may help relieve stress in some people. So if your feeling down, saying thank you may lift your spirits and make you more optimistic.
Consider thanking someone today for absolutely no reason other than to give thanks to that person. Thank your boss or a co-worker for doing such a great job this year. Thank someone you know who has donated a lot their time this year to a good cause. Thank someone for just being a good friend.
So...make someone's day today by saying thank you.
This card was a sketch on the back of a diner placement. Diners are perfect places to eat out just for this reason! They usually have paper placements and the waitresses always have an extra pen or pencil. The sketch (or should I say doodle) was then created in illustrator with a simple pattern repeat for the wallpaper effect on the left side.
Thank people for a job well done. Thank clients for their business. Thank a vendor for being there for your business when you needed them most. Thank your post man for delivering your mail on a snowy or rainy day.
