14 years ago the Internet 'Blink' tag was invented and everyone was excited that the web had 'movement.' It was overused and thankfully banned from Internet code for all eternity but it reminds us all of how far the web has come. Overwhelmingly so... Now Internet Marketers have so many choices from blogging to twittering, face book to my space and linked in, pay per click to natural search engine optimization, email services like CorpNote and Constant Contact, and so on and so on...
It's dizzying at times to make heads or tails of it all. For me, it's like being a kid in the candy store and I want to try everything but if I did, I would end up with a horrible stomach ache. I suppose the same holds true with Internet Marketing too. You want to try everything but it's either not possible or you would spread yourself way too thin to really accomplish anything.
Here's my advice
-- Pick the top 3 Internet Marketing options for you and your company and stick with them for a specific time frame. This enables you to focus all of your energy in those areas and really give them a fair shot.
-- Learn as much as you can about the options you selected and look for articles on how other professionals are using those services to produce results. One of my favorite resource sites is imediaconnection.com
-- If one option doesn't work after a reasonable period of time, drop it and try another one on your list.
Good luck with your Internet Marketing Strategy. I would like to hear from you about what you liked the best and why. And if you feel compelled to tell me that you liked the 'blinking' text tag all those years ago -- that's OK too.
