Are you considering sending out electronic holiday greeting cards for your business this year? We offer custom art design services to CorpNote members on an hourly rate basis, and could easily make your holiday card concept a reality.
How does it work?...
You can provide us with a sample you like, a description of what you envision, or just tell us about your company and customers, and we will help you brainstorm a memorable design that fits your needs and budget.
What are the costs?...
We charge $140 per hour for Flash animation production. Project cost, of course, varies based on complexity and time spent, so here are some guidelines that hopefully will take the fear out of paying hourly for custom design, and help you understand what goes in to the production.
Example 1. You see an animated card already created in CorpNote, and you want to modify the text and add your logo or a photo to the final screen. Most cards customized in this fashion take about 1 hour.
Example 2. You provide us with 6-10 photos of your company, employees, product, etc., and a logo, plus an .mp3 music file. We can create a photo montage with transitions (or snowflakes falling) that takes 15 - 25 seconds, and ends up with your logo and customized message. A card like this generally takes 2.5 - 5 hours.
Example 3. You dream it up! We do it. A recent custom job was for a company that wanted a cardinal to fly through a snowstorm carrying a letter, with holiday music playing in the background. The bird lets go of the envelope, it drifts into the foreground, opens, and an elegant card slips out with the company's logo. The card opens to reveal a holiday message, as snow accumulates in the corners of the card, like it would on a window sill. The final card contained all these elements, and took about 9 hours of production time to complete.
How long does it take before we can send our custom cards?...
Most projects are completed in 1-2 days, but leave yourself time for 'your people' to make comments and approvals. Knowing who or what the internal approval process for the project will be can save you time, both in production costs (unforeseen revisions) and in getting the card sent out in a timely fashion. (Note -- since we only do cards for CorpNote members, you will need your CorpNote membership active before we start production.)
A word on content and digital rights...
As part of the Corpnote user agreement, you agree to have the copyright to any media or messages you use in your correspondence. We prefer to have you provide us with images and music to be used in your card, because it costs less (if we purchase stock images, the costs are much higher than if you purchase it as an end-user). This is also a good arrangement because it allows you to use the imagery again for other projects, if allowed by where you acquire it.
We often recommend www.iStockPhoto.com as a resource to get stock images because of its great search capabilities and reasonable prices. (If you have a favorite resource we would love for you to share it with us!)
An animated word about cost...
Don't rule out creating a custom based on our hourly rate. We take pride in the quality and value of our work, and our clients agree. Here is what you can expect from us:
- We are experienced at what we do, we are quick while still being creative, and our ability to guide you through the process efficiently translates to a great product at reasonable final prices.
- All of our design work is done in-house from our Eastern-Pennsylvania facility, so there is no outsourcing or subcontracting. This means both cost- and creativity-control.
- We will always give you a cost estimate based on your design ideas, and we are happy to give you time-spent updates on larger projects.
