As we were writing our Thanksgiving newsletter, we discovered that some businesses have taken Black Friday to a new level. Not only are some businesses opening on Thanksgiving night for Black Friday sales but some are also having ’Countdown to Black Friday’ promotions. It truly is Black Friday madness this year!
For most businesses, traditionally Thanksgiving marks the beginning of the holiday season and most companies will send their Season’s Greetings eCards shortly after Thanksgiving. This year it appears the time table may be even earlier, not just because the Thanksgiving holiday is earlier than normal, but because businesses are more aggressively trying to grab their market share.
