How to Create Appreciation Emails with your Branding

You can create an eCard by using one of our pre-designed eCards or email templates, or you can upload your own artwork. For my first example, I will create a birthday eCard.

Creating a birthday eCard

To select an eCard design, select 'New eCard' and then select the occasion "Birthday". When you find an eCard design you like, click the checkmark to select it.

You can now easily customize your greeting, message, colors and more.

The Greeting Line: You can select a salutation, like 'dear' or 'hello' and type a person's name if you're sending to an individual. The 'autofill name' feature works if you're sending with your address book and will prefill each recipient's first name. This is especially helpful if you are sending your birthday email campaigns using email automation.

Master Styles: You can use our default eCard styles, use your "favorite styles" that you pre-configured in your account preferences, or you can set "custom" colors and fonts on an eCard-by-eCard basis.

For my example below, I chose to use the "custom" option and selected my company's primary marketing colors (purple and cream). The first row of color chips in the example below shows my colors that I saved in my account preferences. These colors also appear in the message editor so you can fine tune your eCard message to match your brand.

I typed my birthday eCard text and checked the box to include my pre-set signature which has my logo and company contact information. This is my birthday eCard after I've customized it.

Creating an Anniversary eCard using an Email Template

For my next example, I will create a work anniversary eCard using CorpNote's email template library. The process is very similar to using a pre-designed eCard but email templates provide greater flexibility.

Select "New Email Design" from the navigation and then select the occasion "Anniversary" in the drop down menu.

Once you find an email template you like, you can preview it with the default styles and click the tabs to preview the same design with your saved favorite styles or the reverse of your styles. I chose to use my favorite colors (purple and cream) and clicked the "Insert" button, which moves my selected template and colors to the "Compose" screen for further editing.

I can now set the greeting line and global styles just like I did with the eCard example above. The main difference is the email design is now within the editor and I can more flexibly make adjustments to the content.

As you can see in the example below, I moved the "From" line of text to the top of the email and edited the text that was in the original email template. I then created a custom signature box, with reverse colors, and included my logo and company contact information.

Email templates offer the most design flexibility and can easily be adjusted to fit your appreciation email campaign goals.

Use your Own Images

Adding your own imagery to an eCard or email template is easy and provides a personalized touch to your email campaigns. For example, you can easily swap the "Happy Anniversary" image with your own graphic, or add a photo underneath the "Happy Anniversary" image, as shown below.
