Address Book keyboard_arrow_right Unsubscribed and Subscribed Contacts


At the bottom of every email are links for your recipients to click subscribe or unsubscribe from your email list. Your address book is automatically updated. You can also build your email list by posting a link directly to your subscribe form which integrates to your CorpNote address book.

This tutorial covers how to view unsubscribed contacts, how to link to your subscribe form and how to view/import subscribed contacts.

How to View Unsubscribed Contacts

  • Go to My Account > Address Book and click the 'Manage Subscribers' tab to see the list of people who have unsubscribed
  • You have the option to permanently remove unsubscribed contacts from your address book so these contacts do not count towards the total number of contacts in your address book
  • You can download this list in case you want to update an email list in another contact manager

thumb_up Important Notes

If someone has unsubscribed from your email list:

  • you will not be able to send them email via CorpNote. Their contact information will not be removed from your address book, but the person will be marked "Unsubscribed".
  • you will not be able to send an email to them even if you manually enter their email address on the address and send screen.
  • if you delete the contact and add them back into your address book, their preference will still appear in your address book and you will not be able to send an email to that contact.
  • if you select to send your email to an email list that contains people who unsubscribed, those contacts will NOT be added to the send list

Note: If someone unsubscribes and wants to re-subscribe, see the instructions below.

How to Link to your Subscribe Form

  • Go to My Account > Address Book and click the 'Manage Subscribers' tab.
  • You will see a 'Subscribe Form' link that enables people to subscribe directly to your CorpNote address book.
  • The subscribe form uses two-step verification. After submitting the form, the subscriber will receive an email with a link that they must click to complete the registration.

How to View/Import Subscribed Contacts

  • Go to My Account > Address Book and click the 'Manage Subscribers' tab
  • If you have subscribers, you will see a link to review/import new subscribers into your address book. You will also see this link on My Account > Overview under 'Account Notices'
  • Click the add/edit button to add the contact to your address book or click the remove button to permanently remove them from your subscriber list

thumb_up Important Notes

  • If an email notice is forwarded and the person clicks on the 'Subscribe' link, they can subscribe to your email list
  • If an email notice is forwarded and the person clicks on the 'Unsubscribe' link, they can unsubscribe from your email list even if they are not in your address book
  • Deleted "Subscriber" contacts CANNOT be restored.

Multi User Plan Administrators

Important Note: Multi User Plan administrators can send emails to their plan members regardless of whether their plan members have unsubscribed from their administrator's email list.
